Ryan Wroblewski

Ryan Wroblewski’s troubles began on March 9, 2020, when a customer alleged that he recommended unsuitable investments, breached his contract, and breached his fiduciary duty. The customer is seeking $126,152 in damages; the dispute is pending.

One month later,  on April 8, 2020, a second customer filed a complaint against Ryan Wroblewski. They alleged that their broker misrepresented options investments in a managed account. The activity in question occurred from April 2018 to April 2020. The dispute is pending.

One month after that, on May 8, 2020, a third customer filed a complaint against Ryan Wroblewski, alleging that he recommended unsuitable investments and engaged in the unauthorized use of margin. The activity in question occurred from 2014 to 2016. This customer is seeking nearly $1 million in damages$985,000 to be exact. The dispute is pending. As we have written before, using margin can be risky for investors. When investors borrow funds from their brokers and put their securities up as collateral, they are still on the hook for the borrowed money (plus interest) even if their investments don’t pan out. If a broker uses margin with customer authorization, that would constitute a breach of fiduciary duty.
