Publicly available records provided by the Finanical Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on June 27, 2017 indicate that Ohio-based America Northcoast Securities broker/adviser Richard Barone has received several pending customer disputes. Richard Barone has spent 47 years in the securities industry and has been registered with America Northcoast Securities in Cleveland, Ohio since 2001. Previous registrations include Arboe Court Capital in Broadview Heights, Ohio; Safeguard Securities in Mayfield Heights, Ohio; Maxus Securities Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio; and JN Russell Inc. In May 2017 a customer alleged Richard Barone, while employed at America Northcoast Securities, acted negligently, breached his fiduciary duty, made unsuitable recommendations, failed in his supervisory duty, and executed unauthorized trades in connection to leveraged exchange-traded funds. The customer is seeking $250,000 in damages in the pending complaint, to which Mr. Barone has attached a comment stating he did not recommend the transactions, had no supervisory responsibility over them and “had no involvement whatsoever” with the investments.

In April 2017 a customer alleged Richard Barone, while employed at America Northcoast Securities, acted negligently, made unsuitable recommendations, breached his fiduciary duty, and failed in his supervisory duties. The customer is seeking $92,000 in damages in the pending complaint, to which Mr. Barone has attached a comment stating he did not recommend the transactions, had no supervisory responsibility over them and “had no involvement whatsoever” with the investments.

In 2016 a customer alleged he, while employed at America Northcoast Securities, acted negligently, executed unauthorized trades, made unsuitable recommendations and breached his fiduciary duty. The customer is seeking $800,000 in damages in the pending complaint, to which Mr. Barone has attached a comment stating he did not recommend the transactions, had no supervisory responsibility over them and “had no involvement whatsoever” with the investments.
