Mitchell Black: Annuity, REIT Complaints Against Ameriprise Rep

According to his BrokerCheck report, he has received two customer complaints and four denied customer complaints.

In March 2019 a customer alleged Mitchell Black, while employed at Ameriprise Financial Services, misrepresented and recommended unsuitable variable annuities. The customer sought $1,000,000 in damages in the complaint, which was denied.

In 2014 a party of customers alleged Mitchell Black, while employed at Ameriprise Financial Services, sold unsuitable annuity and REIT investments and charged excessive commissions and fees. The complaint settled for more than $24,700.

In 2011 a customer alleged Mitchell Black, while employed at Ameriprise Financial Services, recommended unsuitable variable life insurance policies, annuities, and real estate investment trusts. The complaint resulted in an award to the customer of $126,424.

In 2010 a customer alleged he, while employed at Ameriprise Financial Services, made a unsuitable annuity and insurance recommendations and failed to properly disclose surrender charges. The customer sought $21,000 in damages in the complaint, which was denied.
