Furman Ford: $1 Million Pending Complaint Against Ex-NYLife Rep

Furman FordPublicly available records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and accessed on April 26, 2019 indicate that former North Carolina-based NYLife Securities broker Furman Ford has received a pending customer dispute and is currently not affiliated with any broker-dealer firm. According to his BrokerCheck report, he has received one pending customer complaint and three unsatisfied civil judgments or liens.

In July 2018 a customer alleged Furman Ford, while employed at NYLife Securities, withdrew $1,000,000 from her variable annuity and pledged it to his relative’s charity, of which he is a board member, without her knowledge or consent. The customer is seeking $1,000,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In 2009 Equity Recovery Group LLC filed a civil judgment or lien totaling $4,177 against him. The judgment or lien remains outstanding.
