Brian Sak Allegedly Recommended Unauthorized Investment

Brian SakPublic records published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on November 7, 2016 indicate that former Illinois-based Morgan Stanley broker Brian Sak has received several pending customer complaints. The securities and investment fraud law firm Fitapelli Kurta is interested in speaking to investors who have complaints regarding Mr. Sak (CRD# 3259830).

Brian Sak has spent sixteen years in the securities industry and was most recently registered with Morgan Stanley in Deerfield, Illinois (2009-2016). Previous registrations include Morgan Stanley & Company in Riverwoods, Illinois; Merrill Lynch in Northbrook, Illinois; Edward Jones in St. Louis, Missouri; and Vanguard Capital in Del Mar, California. He is currently not registered with any state or firm.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Brian Sak has received three pending customer complaints and resigned from Morgan Stanley.

In October 2016 a customer alleged Brian Sak, while employed at Morgan Stanley, recommended a business investment that was not authorized by the firm. The customer is seeking $370,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In August 2016 a customer alleged Brian Sak, while employed at Morgan Stanley, recommended an outside real estate investment opportunity of which he was a partner. The customer is seeking $350,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In May 2016 a customer alleged Brian Sak, while employed at Morgan Stanley, recommended an outside real estate investment opportunity of which he was a manager. The customer is seeking $250,000 in damages in the pending complaint.

In May 2016 Brian Sak voluntarily resigned from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney following allegations involving “Concerns related to outside real estate investment with a client that was not appropriately disclosed to the Firm.”
